As we seek to push the concepts of new approaches to governance, coordination, sustainability, and social institutions in space, we need to learn from what is already out there. This research will focus on a combination of space technology, science, strategic ecosystem analysis, and coordination and policy frameworks. The work is directed by our core team, with fellows playing a crucial role in exploring emerging ideas and developing "hunches" into solid concepts.
Time Commitment: Up to 8 hours per week for 6-8 months
Compensation: USD 35 per hour
Working Location: Flexible and remote. The Open Lunar team works across the globe, and often meets in Eastern Time Zone. The fellowship role generally requires one to two 60 minute meetings as organzine with other fellows and team leads.

The Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis
Research, synthesize, and propose creative solutions for a peaceful lunar future.
Write and edit position papers and background notes
Develop blogs and / or related articles
Create annotated bibliographies and reading lists
Research management and paper organization.
Collaboration
Participate in weekly fellowship calls with peers and staff
Engage in meetings and online communications
Present at our research showcase and occasional conferences
Solicit and incorporate feedback from diverse stakeholders
Deliverables
Produce clean, easy-to-read outputs in plain language
Develop considered opinions that provoke new thinking
Summarize insights frequently to support ongoing discussions
Present final research through a published report or white paper
