ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & VP OF PROGRAMS, OPEN LUNAR
Rachel brings over a decade of experience in commercial space and innovation operations.
With a background in the early-stage development of startups, social good initiatives, and grassroots non-profit organizations, Rachel has worked at the intersection of technology, policy, and discovery. Her experience spans a broad range of topics, from commercial space to artificial intelligence safety.
Rachel is deeply passionate about building and supporting small companies with meaningful missions. She values efficiency, process, and empathy in her work, always with a focus on the equitable development of space.
Before joining Open Lunar, Rachel helped launch and operate a commercial space startup in Alaska, dedicated to standardizing access to space.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys life in La Serena, a coastal astronomical city in Chile, where she surfs, climbs, hikes, and stargazes.
